Dispatcher John Williams
John Williams is the newest dispatcher for Longwood Department of Public Safety. He has completed the VCIN Training class.
John and his family moved to Farmville 2 years ago after living in Virginia Beach for 14 years. He retired from 20 years of active service in the US Navy where he was stationed on several aircraft carriers and has seen several foreign ports including Greece, Italy, Australia and France. After retiring he worked as a security officer for one of the local high schools in Virginia Beach where he enjoyed working with the young people.
John has been married to his wife, Rebecca, for 20 years and they have 4 children. John attends Worsham Baptist church and is active in the AWANA program. He also teaches the 7th/8th grade Sunday School class. He volunteers at FACES twice a month and this spring he will coach a U8 soccer team with PEFYA.
