2-6       Not Returning to your Current Assignment for spring 2010?  Want to change your assignment or your meal plan?  Communicate your mid-year housing intention form to RCL.  Click www.longwood.edu/rcl to submit the on-line form.  Approved mid-year room change confirmations will be emailed by November 20.

6          Room freeze begins; no more main campus room change requests processed until Friday, January 22. (No apartment changes until February 5, 2010.)

11         Housing Fair: Review What Local Landlords Have to Offer in 2010-2011; Lankford Student Union; 11:00am-1:00pm.

11-24   “Register to stay process” for Thanksgiving Break.

20         Spring semester invoices generated and communicated by Student Accounts; Spring semester fees due January 8, 2010.

Approved mid-year room change confirmations emailed.

24         Main campus residence halls and LU apartments close at 6:00pm for Thanksgiving break.  (“Register to stay process” held November 11-24.)  Residential communities re-open at noon on Sunday, November 29.

29         Residential communities re-open at noon, following Thanksgiving break.

30-Dec 11 Winter break “register to stay” process held for continuing Longwood-managed apartment residents ONLY.  Main campus residence halls are closed during winter break (December 12 – January 10).

 

END OF FALL SEMESTER:                             If your exams end between Monday (12/7) and Thursday (12/10), you are required to check out twenty-four hours after your last exam.

If your last exam is on Friday (12/11) you are required to check out before noon on Saturday (12/12).  Improper checkout fees will begin at 12:01 p.m.

4          Last day of classes; 24-hour quiet hours begin at 7:00pm.

28         2010-2011 Longwood Landing Studio/Lancer Park 2BR Apartment “squatting” day.  Current Longwood-managed Studio Single and 2BR apartment residents can sign to return to their SAME apartment unit assignment for the 2010-2011 academic year.

29         2010-2011 Longwood Landing Studio/Lancer Park 2BR Apartment “lottery” day.  Any Longwood-managed residential student, who will have at least 56 earned credits by the end of the 2010 spring semester, may participate in a special lottery drawing for the remaining (non-squatted) studio single apartments or 2BR apartments.  All lottery participants will be notified via email after 5:00pm.

1-5      2010-2011 Longwood-managed apartment application period Assignments for Lancer Park, Longwood Landings and Longwood Village communities held this week. 

Room change freeze ends for LU apartments.

8-12      Off campus release application period (Resident must have at least 56 earned credits to submit an application).  Written permission required prior to signing any lease.  Submitting an application DOES NOT GUARANTEE an automatic off campus release.

18       Mandatory Off Campus Release Orientation held for invited eligible applicants; Lankford ABC Rooms at 3:30pm.

24-Mar 5 ”Register to stay process” held for Spring break.

5         Special interest housing (fraternity, sorority, Honors, Globe, etc.) floor assignments are due before 5:00pm to RCL.

            Main campus residence halls and LU apartments close at 6:00pm for Spring break. 

14         Residential communities re-open at noon, following spring break.

15         Disability accommodation requests are due to Disability Services (Graham 105) by 5:00pm.  Health need requests for priority assignment (based on a health condition or a medical treatment plan) are due to the Office of the Associate Dean for Student Affairs (Lancaster G-28) by 5:00pm.

 17        Looking for a Roommate for Next Year?  Join other students that are also looking for a roommate at a “Mix & Mingle” event; Lankford Student Union, B/C Rooms; 4:00pm-6:30pm.
