African American History - Educate your residence with African American History

Alcohol Awareness - Promote alcohol awareness well socializing in a dry environment. @web

Alcohol Poisoning - Game is designed to five residents information about the dangers of binge drinking without a lecture! @web

Anger Management - Find out if you are angry and learn how to deal with it.

Archie Bunker's Neighborhood - The goal is to build an ideal community. An ideal community in this simulation is one that provides various types of structures to its population. 

Battle of the Sexes - Time to team up with men and women. This program promotes differences and community building experiences.

Body Art: Piercing & Tattooing - RAs should invite a local tattoo artist to explain the safety issues regarding piercing and tattooing. Also, how to properly take care of your piercings and tattoos is a great addition to this program. Usually, RAs hold this program before spring break.

Career Jeopardy - This program is great for juniors and seniors going out into the "real world". It involves a game similar to Jeopardy. @web

College Students and VA Law - A magazine titled Class Action is in this folder. The magazine promotes the education of young adults regarding certain law and regulations that are acceptable, along with punishments and consequences.

Combat Hate/Prejudice - This program offers 100 ways to combat hate and prejudice in your home, school, and community. @web

Condom Bingo - Play bingo with condoms! Great community builder and Sexual Education Program/Activity.  @web

Conflict Mediation - Explore factors of conflict and deal effectively with conflict.

Craft Ideas - Turn your hall into an art exhibit. Good ideas for hall decorations and community activities.

Credit Card Tips - Great tips for keeping your credit card bill low!!

Dating - Aspects of effective dating and communication.

Diversity Bingo - This Bingo board is made up of different characteristics found all over campus. It promotes diversity and brings residents together. @web

Eating Disorders - Body image disturbance and facts regarding eating disorders. @web

Facts on Tap - This is a great way of communicating many different facts on a variety of topics. This includes: Alcohol, drugs, and sex.

Quick Diversity Discussion on the preconceived notions that we may have about others.  Small groups work together to list what stereotypes that they have heard about others and what facts they know about others.  See how many people have more facts than stereotypes.

Freaky Friday - Bring your residents together on a Friday evening to watch a movie and build community.

Gender & Class Stereotypes - An interactive activity designed to alert people of the stereotypes and associations that they have with certain people. The purpose is to eradicate the stereotypes. @web

Gender Reinvented - The purpose of this program is to question common misconceptions associated with the male and female genders. 

Goal Setting - Educate residents on setting and obtaining goals.

Hidden Diversity - Program involves ways of finding diversity within your hall and community. @web

HIV/AIDS - This folder includes a statewide resource and referral list from the VA Department of Health - Division of STD/AIDS. @web

How to Choose a Partner - This program is intended to help students with life planning. What makes a good partner for you?

Human Scavenger Hunt - This scavenger hunt is a great stress reliever and community builder. Residents must go around campus and find someone who fills the descriptions given to them.

Jehovah's Witnesses - Understand the beliefs of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Learning Disabilities - Educate your residents on learning disabilities and resources available at Longwood to help those with learning disabilities.

Looking Closer - A program that challenges some stereotypes about sexuality and provides a personal look at GLBT experiences. @web

Meaningless Trivia-

Mocktails - A great community builder! This program brings your hall together by serving nonalcoholic beverages. It is also a great time to promote "dry" events.

Mold Yourself (Physical) - A great stress reliever! Do some yoga and play with clay.

My Colorful Portrait - Explore and find the dynamics of one's "color" personality. Also, residents will find someone they relate to at the program.

Nutrition 101 - Simple tips for eating and feeling better.  

Oral Sex - This program is best presented during SAFE SEX week. It includes STD information and condom information. During the program, students are judged on the best fake orgasm. @web

PARTY Healthy - This activity promotes having parties that do not involve drugs, sex or alcohol.

Pink Floyd vs. The Wizard of Oz - This program is a great stress reliever. Students watch the movie The Wizard of Oz while playing Pink Floyd's CD. The CD is available in the Resource Center.

Rape/Sexual Assault - Facts about Rape and Sexual Assault. @web

Sexism - Facts, statistics, and case studies regarding sexism and sexual assault.@web

Sexual Orientation - RA guide for dealing with sexual orientation. Also, suggestions for reducing homophobia in your environment are available. eb

Solar System - Learn about the universe and what is around us…. the moon, asteroids, and more!!

Spring Break Survival - Inform students of personal health and safety during spring break: sun care, first aid, drinking.

Steroids - The negative impact of Steroids on the human body. @web

Stick it Where the Sun Don't Shine -This program will provide a relaxing and creative experience for all. Also, the program will educate residents about positive factors of the sun.

Sticky Labels - This program deals with Stereotypes.

Stress - How to deal effectively with stress. Signs and symptoms are also available.

Time Management - How to manage your time wisely.

Traffic Safety - Steps for implementing traffic safety. A Longwood police officer may be a great addition to this program.

Underage Drinking - This program promotes the reduction of underage drinking. @web

Undress Your Stress - An interactive program that about dealing with stress.  Originally written for RAs it can be adapted to residents or other groups. 

Vegan Dinner - Learn what it is like to eat like a vegan!  

Wellness - Promote wellness by offering facts regarding healthy eating, tobacco, HIV/AIDS, alcohol, and sexual misconduct.@web

WISHH - Build a shanty with your hall. Experience homelessness first hand.
