I am originally from Pittsburgh, PA. I
attended Chatham College and received my Bachelor of Arts in Media Arts
and Psychology. After graduation, I took a semester off to travel,
touring across the U.S. as well as going abroad. I went back for my
Masters and receive an M.S. in College Student Personnel from Miami
University in Oxford, OH. I focused on Student Development Theory and
Higher Education Administration.
I enjoy residence life and working with
students who choose to live on campus. My residential experience shaped
my undergraduate education, and my hope is to create an learning
environment that does the same for Curry Hall residents.
If I were not at Longwood, I would want to
be abroad, studying systems of higher education that countries have in
place. I have participated in two study tours that have focused on the
structure and function of Western European and South African
universities. In the future, I hope
to pursue my interest in the globalization of higher education and the
comparative learning structures that many international institutions
attribute to U.S. colleges and universities.
