Larry is currently a member of the American College
Personnel Association (ACPA) and the National Association for Student
Personnel Administrators (NASPA). In 2004, he returned to Longwood as the
Director of Residential and Commuter Life. His previous experience in
Residence Life includes three years as the Residence Education Coordinator
for Curry Hall and nine years at Virginia Tech as an Area Coordinator, the
Assistant Director for Staff Development and Education, and the Associate
Director for Residence Life (Leadership Development). At Virginia Tech, he
served as the course coordinator for a three-credit class for new Resident
Advisors.
Larry is a Longwood graduate. As a student, he was
involved with the Longwood Ambassadors and Geist (now Mortar Board). He
also served as a Resident Advisor and the Orientation Co-chair. He was also
appointed to the Longwood Alumni Board and served for three years.
As a fan of popular culture, Larry admires the work of
Walt Disney and Jim Henson. He also collects CDs and DVDs and loves
watching classic and contemporary motion pictures. He also enjoys playing
numerous card and board games. |
