The
Real Property Management Department handles property acquisition and lease
transactions on behalf of Longwood University. Longwood considers the
acquisition of property that falls within the University’s Master Plan
area. The Real Property Department negotiates the terms and facilitates the
purchase of approved real estate holdings. We also manage all of Longwood’s
lease properties. Some of these properties are leased for use by the
University, and others are owned by Longwood and are available for lease to
incoming faculty and staff members on a temporary basis. These temporary
residential housing sites, and lease terms, are listed on this site and can
be accessed using the links on the left side of this page. To check

a.m. and 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday.
In
addition to maintaining Longwood’s real property holdings, space planning
functions are also handled by the RPM Department. Procedures and forms
for space allocation and configuration requests are provided by Real
Property and are available by clicking the corresponding links on the left
side of this page. Following the receipt of properly executed requests,
decisions regarding space allocation and configuration are handed over to
the University Space Planning and Management Committee. After
reviewing requests at its monthly meeting, the committee notifies the requestor in
writing regarding its decision.
Acting
in its capacity of Space Planning Management, the Real Property
Department also maintains an inventory listing of all spaces on campus, including
room usage and square footage information, and up-to-date floor plans of all
campus buildings. Information regarding specific spaces is available by
