Group Fitness
The Department of Campus Recreation at Longwood University offers a wide array of group fitness classes sure to meet your needs!
Our qualified staff provides a safe, fun and effective environment and welcomes participants regardless of age, gender or fitness level. We are dedicated to providing diverse exercise opportunities to the campus community and with more than 25 classes offered each week, there is sure to be one to help you reach your fitness goals. Class formats range from Yoga and Water Aerobics to Bootcamp and Total Body Toning, so be sure to check out all class descriptions.
All classes are free for Longwood students and Health and Fitness center members so lace up and join us today!
Group Fitness Class Policies
- Please arrive to the class 5-10 minutes early to set up equipment and ensure your spot in the class
- Once a class has begun, please do not enter the class. This is unsafe as you have not given yourself time to properly warm-up.
- If you are more than 5 minutes late to a class, you will not be permitted to take the class as you have missed the warm-up and could sustain an injury as a result.
- Please plan on staying for the entirety of the class (unless you are not feeling well) so you get the full benefits from warm-up to stretch.
