Barlow Field, Iler Field, First Avenue Field 

These outdoor fields accommodate the practice and games of  Men’s and Women’s Rugby, Men’s and Women’s Soccer and Men’s Lacrosse sport clubs.  Intramural flag football and soccer contests, as well as open recreation opportunities are available on all of these outdoor areas.  

Sand Volleyball

Two sand volleyball courts, located between Stubbs Hall and the Lankford Student Union provide volleyball enthusiasts the opportunity to play beach volleyball during the warm weather months.  This is also the site of the Ooze Ball competition during Spring Weekend.  

Outdoor Basketball 

The outdoor basketball court is located behind Willet Hall and is available for informal basketball usage.

Tennis Courts

Nine lighted tennis courts are available on campus.  Four are located behind Barlow Hall and five are located in the center of campus, just off of Brock Commons.  The location of these courts offer an excellent view of the intercollegiate tennis matches on campus.   All courts are available for informal recreation and are also used for intramural events.  Please note that the Longwood University Tennis Team takes precedence over general recreation.
