HOLD FLAGS

Delinquent accounts, which result in hold flags, must be cleared before the student can register. Hold flag information is available by accessing the Registration Status link on myLongwood. Check hold flags and contact the appropriate offices to clear. The Office of Registration has no authority to clear any hold flag except the ones dealing with degree application and incomplete transfer information. Course prerequisites, as listed in the University Catalog, will also prevent registration, if a prerequisite has not been completed.

The following hold flags will prevent students from registering: 

ADVISING - (Students with 45 credit hours or less) - Must contact their academic advisor to receive the alternate pin number for registration. 

CHECK RETURNED - Resolve in Office of Cashiering. Take receipt to Office of Student Accounts for removal of hold flag. (Office of Cashiering, 434.395.2274)

DAMAGE DEPOSIT Past Due - Pay in Office of Cashiering. Take receipt to Office of Student Accounts for removal of hold flag. (Office of Cashiering, 434.395.2274)

DEGREE APPLICATION DELINQUENT - Pay in Office of Cashiering. Take completed form and receipt to Office of Registration for removal of hold flag. (Office of Registration, 434.395.2580)

DISCIPLINARY SUSPENSION/DISMISSAL - (Office of Honor/Judicial Programs, 434.395.2490)

HEALTH FORM - Go to Student Health and Wellness Center to resolve and for removal of hold flag. (434.395.2102)

IMMIGRATION DOCUMENT CHECK - (Office of Multicultural Affairs, 434.395.2395)

LIBRARY FINES Past Due - Pay at Library Circulation Desk for removal of hold flag (Library, 434.395.2433)

LOCAL ADDRESS - (Office of Residential and Commuter Life, 434.395.2080)

PARKING TICKETS Past Due - Take ticket to Office of Cashiering to pay fine. Take receipt to Office of Student Accounts for removal of hold flag. If you do not have ticket, Office of Cashiering may retrieve it via computer. (Parking Services, 434.395.2612)

TELEPHONE BILL Past Due - Pay in Office of Cashiering. Take receipt to Office of Student Accounts for immediate removal of hold flag. If not, the automated system will remove the hold flag at midnight on the day the payment was made. (User Support Services, 434.395.4357)

TRANSCRIPT INCOMPLETE - Go to Office of Registration to remove hold flag. (Office of Registration, 434.395.2254)

TUITION DEPOSIT Past Due - Pay in Office of Cashiering. Take receipt to Office of Student Accounts for removal of hold flag. (Office of Cashiering, 434.395.2274)
