Adding, Dropping and Withdrawing Courses may be added through 5:00 p.m. on the last day to add as published, subject to the availability of courses. Courses may be dropped through 5:00 p.m. on the last day to drop. Adding and dropping courses may be processed in the Office of Registration, or if admitted to Longwood, students may also have the schedule revisions made in the major advisor's office or on myLongwood. A student may withdraw without academic penalty through 5:00 p.m. on the 35th day of regularly scheduled classes. After that date, withdrawals from individual courses are not permitted except for medical or other non-academic emergencies which must be approved by the Dean of the student's school (see University Catalog.) Any student who registers and later decides not to attend must notify the Office of Registration in writing by the last day to drop a course. (If admitted in a degree-seeking program, the course may be dropped by accessing myLongwood.) You will be charged for all courses in which you are enrolled as of the Last Day to Drop. Charges will include tuition and all applicable fees, including room and board, if residential student.
