DEGREE-SEEKING STUDENT REGISTRATION

Undergraduate Student Registration (degree-seeking)

Undergraduate students who are currently enrolled in a degree program are eligible to register as outlined in the timetable in this document. Students must consult their advisor prior to registering for classes. Failure to obtain the advisor's approval for selected courses may result in the student being dropped from those courses and/or loss of access to online registration services.

Registration days are assigned for all continuing undergraduate students. The posted day indicates when you may report to your advisor to process adds and overrides. Students are encouraged to register for open classes using the myLongwood portal.

Students should check their Registration Status link on myLongwood to find their scheduled registration day,  their current major and academic advisor assignment.  If the major and the advisor do not match, notify the major department (as printed on the master list) and report to your new major department for advising. In many cases, advisors post signup sheets outside their offices. If you are unable to get in touch with your advisor, go to the departmental office for assistance.

Remember, you will not be able to register if you have hold flags. Access the Registration Status link on myLongwood to see if you have hold flags. Students with 45 credit hours or less must contact their advisor for receipt of the Alternate Pin number, which will be required at the time of registration.  All Social Work majors must do the same.

Graduate Student Registration (degree-seeking)

Currently enrolled degree-seeking graduate students are eligible to register early using myLongwood or in Barlow Hall (see timetable). Newly-admitted, degree-seeking graduate students are eligible to register early by contacting the Office of Registration in Barlow Hall.

Courses for graduate students are listed with the respective disciplines.  Registration forms are available on-line and in the Office of Registration.

Graduate students are expected to pay for courses at the time of registration. However, if a graduate student has registered during the undergraduate pre-registration period and has not paid for courses at the time of registration, then the Office of Cashiering and Student Accounts will generate a bill for the graduate student. When this occurs, graduate students are required to pay all charges by the semester due date for undergraduate tuition and fees to avoid late payment fees.
