The Staff Advisory Book Fund was created to help staff members who are taking classes at Longwood. Since staff members are entitled to one free class per semester, it is often the price of books for which staff members need assistance. The Staff Advisory Book Fund will refund the purchase of a textbook up to $50 per staff member. For the Fall 2013 semester we will approve five book refunds. The refund can be requested by completing the Staff Book Reimbursement Form and attaching a receipt for the purchase of your book. The form can be submitted to Hannah Ledger in the Office of the Registrar. Refunds will be issued on a first come-first serve basis for the fall, and applications must be received by 5:00 PM on the last day to add or drop classes (September 3, 2013). We will offer these refunds again in the spring. Those who receive funds in the fall will be moved to the back of the list for spring reimbursements. This is in an effort to be sure that as many staff members as possible are able to utilize this benefit. Staff members serving on the Staff Advisory Committee will only be eligible if there is no one else requesting the benefit that has not already received funds for the current academic year.
