Students in the Secondary Science Teacher Preparation Program will be required to join a Longwood University National Science Teachers Association (NSTA) Student Chapter. The purpose of the NSTA student chapters program is to promote professional activity among preservice science teachers and bring them into more direct contact with the science teaching profession.

Membership in NSTA brings numerous benefits including a subscription to a NSTA teaching journal and access to other on-line resources. There is no cost to students for membership in the NSTA Student Chapter.
