Section
5. The
Senate may, by a majority vote, go into closed session by a majority vote of
those present and eligible to vote. choose to meet in private session
for the purpose of discussion. Only voting members of the Senate or
individuals invited to attend by a majority vote may be present during a
closed session private session. A closed session shall be for
discussion and no action shall be taken except when reconvened in open session.
Article VIII
Section
3. In order to
allow appropriate faculty input, the Executive Committee shall be
informed of policy proposals that affect the academic mission of the institution
while the proposals are under development.
The full-time teaching faculty of the Executive Committee shall also serve as an advisory committee to the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The Vice President for Academic Affairs shall keep the Executive Committee informed of policy proposals that affect the academic mission of the institution while the proposals are under development.
