Writing/Social Group

Writing/Social Group meets weekly to target a variety of written language and pragmatic skills. Clients in this group are typically secondary-level students who have weaknesses in their academic writing, as well as social skills.  Each session is comprised of group activities designed to get students talking while also having fun.  Discussions transition to a meaningful writing prompt that is targeted using more individualized support.  The day culminates in a brief period of students sharing their writings with their peers and asking each other questions.
