Individual Assignments

Weekly Reports

You must email me weekly (not later than each Monday am) with a brief summary of what you have done the previous week. This is also your opportunity to ask questions and discuss any situations that you may have encountered during the week. This does not have to be a lengthy summary -- not as detailed as the journal.

Daily Journal

You must keep a journal that records your daily activities. This is turned in at the end of the internship (typed).

Evaluations

You must complete the internship evaluation. The evaluation form is in your internship manual or can be filled out electronically via the web.

You must have your supervisor complete the internship evaluation. This form is also in your internship manual or can be filled out electronically via the web.

Final Report

You must write a formal paper at the conclusion of the internship. The paper needs to be 3 to 5 pages, double-spaced. The paper should NOT recount your specific activities -- that is in the journal -- but rather your reflections on your experience. How has the internship changed or reinforced your perceptions of your chosen career? What personal weaknesses or strengths have your identified? How did what you learned in the classroom help you on the job? Did you identify areas of knowledge that you need to work on or that you feel you have a comfortable level of knowledge? Did you identify any skills that either you need to improve or that you were able to use competently?

Honor Code
