Raymond Cormier's specialty is medieval comparative literature, with a
sub-specialty in French, Latin, and Celtic languages and literatures. His
particular area of interest is the transmission of antiquity and
translation theory. Since 1960, he has taught at Stanford, Harvard, Tufts,
Virginia, and Temple universities, and at Wilson, Dartmouth, Gettysburg and
Dickinson, all colleges. Currently, Cormier serves as visiting professor in
the English and Modern Languages Department of Longwood University, where
his wife is president. |
