I.  Situation  
1-29     F  Student showed up, but was unable to deal with the situation.
30-34   D  Student attempted to deal with the situation, but was largely incomprehensible. The situation lasted less than the minimum time.
35-39   C Student showed evidence of having prepared the scene, however faulty grammar, word choice, hesitation, and/or pronunciation made him or her difficult to understand.
40-44   B The student was clearly prepared, but made several mistakes in grammar or pronuciation.
45-48   A Some mistakes in grammar, vocab, etc, but the student was obviously prepared and would probably have been understood by a patient native.
49-50   A+ This student was a real pleasure to watch and listen to.  
II.  Questions  
1-29     Student was there and attempted to answer the question, but was incomprehensible.
30-34   D       Student’s response contained mainly faulty grammar and poor pronunciation and was not really understandable.
35-39   C        Student’s response was understandable, however it contained major errors in pronunciation, word choice, and/or grammar.
40-44   B         Student’s response was understandable but it contained one or two errors that would hinder understanding by native speakers.
45-48   A         Student’s response was delivered with decent fluency and pronunciation.  Minor errors that did not hinder understanding by a native speaker.
  49-50   A+      Student’s response was understandable, correct, and fluent.
