Teaching Philosophy
I believe that foreign language teachers need to create an environment that enables the students to use the target language in order to express themselves. Students should feel comfortable and enjoy participating in communicative activities, use negotiation as a tool to clarify information, and most importantly learn about the culture and the people of the specific culture being studied. I deeply believe in the use of technology as an important tool to be brought into classroom instruction. Through the use of the Internet, for example, students will be exposed to a more realistic and effective way to understand and interact with the language they are intending to learn. The Internet also provides a wide variety of possibilities that could be used to reinforce the students' learning process of a foreign language.
