Tribute to Todd Miller

This logo was designed using Todd's Number - 10 - and the traditional Skull and Crossbones used for Longwood Rugby. The Phrase "One Passion, One Family, Forever United" originated with Emily Grove, a member of the Longwood Women's Team.

On 1 March , 2008 Todd Miller was injured in a game versus Virginia Military Institute (VMI). At the time there did not seem to be a problem but he passed out on the sidelines and was airlifted to MCV in Richmond. Eight days later on 9 March, 2008, Todd died as a result of his injuries.

The ensuing outpouring of emotion and prayers was phenomenal. The Longwood Rugby Alumni raised over $2600 and The Longwood Team raises over $2300. This amount was matched by ARAMARK in the amount of $2300. All of the donations went to Big Brothers/Big Sister of the Capital Area. To date, nearly $10,000 has been raised. This charity was chosen since it played such a huge role in Todd's life.
