I'm working on putting together a
collection of video demos to help patrons use Longwood's online library resources.
This project is still in its early stages: below are links to some of my
experiments. Please take them for a test drive!
In Spring of '07, we will be
providing library service virtually through an instant messaging
program called Meebo. This tutorial shows librarians how to
sign up for Meebo.
12/14/06
This tutorial is designed to
show librarians the basics of chatting in
Meebo
A demo showing basic skills
for searching the Online Catalog.
It shows a basic keyword search, then demonstrates how to interpret
the records the search retrieves.
3/7/07
LibX
Demo. LibX is a Firefox extension that makes it easy to
find library resources from any point on the Web.
5/11/07
My first Captivate Project.
It shows the basics of finding an article in the Chronicle of Higher Education,
starting with our library's Journal Finder.
