| Prior to the departure: at least 4 hours of class time | Overview, discussion of first chapter of the text, paper, planning for materials each student will bring to carry out class activities in CR. |
| Sunday | Travel from Richmond to Costa Rica and to host family homes. |
Monday – Thursday

8:30-12:00 - class time MWR 1:00-2:30 in the English classroom Monday 3:00-4:00 tour of Santo Domingo – return to host family Tuesday – 1:00 – tour of Heredia WR – late afternoon for project preparation and cultural activities |

Cultural Tours: Coffee Plantations, Volcanoes, the Beach, etc. To be arranged through the Columbus Academy |
