Integrated Arts/Music
Goes to Costa Rica

Summer II, 2009

Santo Domingo de Heredia, a small town nestled in the volcanic highlands of Costa Rica, is a most inviting setting for a Longwood two-week intensive summer class.  This section of MUSC448. Integrated Arts/Music will take advantages of many opportunities offered by this setting, including observation and participation in the English language classes at the local elementary schools.  Liberal studies students will be particularly interested in the ESL/EFL/ELL opportunities.

The weather in Santo Domingo at that time of the year ranges from about 62 to 78 degrees with sun in the morning and rain just about every afternoon.  You’ll get wet, but you won’t mind.  Two days of this adventure are set aside for cultural tours, one of which will include a beach, where it does not rain every day.
