Time Line

Draw a timeline of the major periods in music as listed on page 65 of your text.  (The Enjoyment of Music. Machlis and Forney, 8th ed.)  That information is in the form of a "list."  Your timeline should be a visual representation of those time periods designated on one continuing line.  Your timeline should be a visual representation of time, not just another list as in the text.  Remember that on your timeline, if 1 inch equals 100 years, then 2 inches will represent 200 years.  Keep that perspective in line as you develop your graphic.

Plan how things might appear concurrently on your timeline.  For example if you begin the Rococo period in 1725 after the Baroque finishes in 1750, you will no longer have a continuous timeline. You will have a fractured line. How can you represent the beginning of the Rococo and the end of the Baroque periods concurrently?
