Heading:
The heading should appear in the upper right hand corner of the first page and should include the following:

Your Course Number (MUSC448 or MUSC548)
Bibliography - Songs in Book Form
Your name

Subject category - in Bold - left margin, just under the hearing.

 

Text Format: 10 or 12 point type, 1" margins, in a standard font (such as Ariel, Helvetica, Times New Roman). See below for the model for the entries. (Please do not include these examples in your bibliography.)


Length:
8-12 entries (2 full pages maximum)


Content
: Choose a grade level and a topic that is appropriate. Some suggestions to get your thinking started: whales, bugs, Alaska, weather, environment, family, transportation, civil war, gold rush, American rivers, an African country, food chain, etc., etc.

A. Find materials in a variety of subject areas or disciplines: music, art, drama, language, math, social studies, science, etc.
B. Find materials in a variety of formats: books, articles, songs, CD's, DVD's, video tapes, kits, software, posters, web sites, etc.

Prepare an annotated bibliography of the materials you collect. Each annotation should be 50-75 words and give as much useful information as possible. Use proper bibliographic citations to the extent you can.

Examples of the Format:

Author / Editor / Compiler. The Title of the Book or Collection. The appropriate information about the publisher and where the publisher is located along with the publication date -- all in proper format.

This book includes 15 songs and 3 listening lessons. The book is accompanied by a CD with the songs sung by children in a range that is appropriate for children. The songs are most appropriate for the kindergarten age, and the subjects of the songs include animals, counting, rhyming words, polite behavior and other appropriate kindergarten themes.
