Longwood University's Language Laboratory is a high-tech, interactive learning environment for foreign language students. In addition to 25 desktop computers, the lab also gives students access to french, spanish, and german satellite television, multi-format videos and dvds, as well as a large collection of digital files to assist in the learning of a foreign language.

Interactive Instruction

For faculty members, the Language Lab is a great source for international content. Through the use of state-of-the-art software and hardware, the lab gives instructors the ability to communicate actively in the student's foreign language education. One-on-one Instruction

The powerful Sanako Learning Environment provides instructors with the ability to group students into 2,3,and 4 persons for combined recording and listening. The ability to map out section of the lab for different activities also means that the instructors are not limited to showing one type of media to the whole class! Training is available both on the web and through group/individual sessions for all faculty members wishing to make use of all that the lab has to offer.
