Math 395: Differential Geometry
Spring 2008
TR 11 a.m. - 12:15 p.m. 352 Ruffner
Syllabus: Please peruse the syllabus for this course.
Office hours: I am in my office on MWF: 9-10, 11-12; MW: 1:30-2:30; TR: 9:30-11. If these times don't work, please schedule an appointment to meet with me.
Homework: Homework problems are interspersed throughout the text. This means you should actually be reading the text, not just listening to me in class and then going to the end of a section. All problems not done in class should be done and turned in. These problems should be done in groups of two. The problems from a particular section are due one week after the section is finished in class, unless otherwise stated.
Project: You will be in a group for your project. We will talk about this after spring break, but it will most likely come from one of the suggested projects in the back of the text. I will grade this project guided by a Project Checklist. I encourage you to download this yourself and make sure that you can answer "yes" to all of the questions before you submit.
Cults: Please read all details about the cults you must earn this semester.
Office of Disability Services: Any student who feels s/he may need an accommodation based on the impact of a physical, psychological, medical, or learning disability should contact either Dr. Sally Scott (Office of Disability Services; 103 Graham; 395-2391) or me privately.
Other Resources: You can also find a variety of resources on my Math Links page.
