The Longwood Company of Dancers is the resident dance company at Longwood University in Farmville, Virginia.  Under the direction of Rodney L. Williams, the company explores the best in AFRICAN, JAZZ, MODERN and LYRICAL dance.  The family of dancers present three annual concerts each academic year.  The OKTOBERFEST CONCERT is held in the LANCER DANCE STUDIO which can accommodate over five hundred.  The ANNUAL FALL CONCERT and SPRING Concerts are performed on stage at the spacious JARMAN THEATER.  Choreography is created by the director, guest artist and company members.  Also, a member who is seeking a DANCE MINOR, if interested in choreography can create a dance on the company.  Auditions are held once a year in the fall and are open to all university students.  You must audition to become a member of the dance company.
