ELECTRONIC FUNDS TRANSFER AND DIRECT DEPOSIT

The funds will come from a bank, credit union, or other lender (of your choice) that participates in the EFT program. Funds will be transmitted to Longwood University by wire. Proceeds will be applied to your student account to pay any debts you owe Longwood University through this process. If a credit balance remains after Longwood University charges are paid, the surplus will be refunded. Any student loan surplus can be transferred into your personal checking account through a process called Direct Deposit. If you choose to use Direct Deposit you will receive an automated email notification from Longwood University when proceeds are deposited into your account.

Longwood University encourages all students to participate in Direct Deposit. To sign up for Direct Deposit, please logon using My Longwood Portal, Student Tab, My Student Account, Select My Profiles, then Payment Profiles to enter your banking information and click on the option to use the account for refunds.
