Leadership & Involvement
Purpose
The purpose of the Leadership and Involvement Team is to explore issues and development opportunities to enhance student leadership and involvement at Longwood University. We also provide resources and assist Student Affairs staff members in their attempts to engage students in the co-curriculum at Longwood.
Objectives for 2008-2009
- Complete two unfinished projects (i.e. 101 Things to do in Farmville and the Picture Project) which are both pieces that are designed to educate readers about the various ways to get involved at Longwood and in the Farmville community. Both finished documents will be made available through the Longwood website.
- Review and revise the Citizen Leader awards and descriptions that are intended to commend student and staff individuals and groups for extraordinary contributions.
- Plan and execute a successful Student Club and Organization Recognition Dinner.
- Promote new software, ICS Club Manager, to the student body for more efficient on-line registration and communication with student organization leaders.
