Ellen has done presentations in Try it for a day, you may love
it for a lifetime, motivating yourself and others, Make time to
color, Plant Yourself. She is the advisor of the Yearbook, Alpha
Phi Omega, Princeps, Chi, Big Sibling Program, Habitat for Humanity,
Alternative Spring Break, and Movers & Shakers. She teaches Project
Success and Longwood Seminar Class.
Ellen grew up in Roanoke, Virginia and has two wonderful parents
that still reside in Roanoke. She has two sisters that live in Richmond
and Northern Virginia. Her interests include antique shopping, walking/hiking,
reading by the lake, water skiing, tennis, biking, playing golf,
anything outdoors, SERVICE!!! Ellen also assist with several community
projects aside from her job which include Summer Film Series, Board
Secretary for Heart of Virginia Meals on Wheels, VA COOL Board Member,
Tri County Life Learners Public Relations chair, VP and Volunteer
Coordinator for Farmville Area Habitat for Humanity, Farmville Junior
Women's Club member, Art Show Coordinator for the Heart of Virginia
Festival. She has been a big sister for the past 8 years. She began
this service opportunity while I was a student at Longwood and continued
over the years. She is currently trying to start a young professionals
group in the Farmville Area - FarmvilleFunSeek.
