Student Union & Involvement

The Lankford Student Union was built in 1966 and is named after President Francis Greenfield Lankford.

The Student Union houses the offices of Student Activities, Greek Life, Lancer Productions, Student Government Association, Rotunda Student Newspaper, Leadership and Student Engagement, First Year Experience, and Volunteer and Service Learning. It also houses the Commuter Lounge, Lancer Cafe, Bowling Alley and Post Office.

Open Monday - Friday

8:30am - Midnight

Saturday - Sunday

12:00 Noon - 12:00 Midnight

 

Student Union Advisory Board presents

Liberty Mountain Snowplex in Lynchburg, VA.  The trip will be February 4th.  The bus will leave from behind the Student Union at 11am.  The cost is $10 per person.  To sign up and pay, click here.  There is limited seating and there will be no refunds.  If you have any questions, please call 434-395-2103 or email lankford@longwood.edu.

  • Mandatory Meeting for Clubs and Organizations

    Either the PRESIDENT OR TREASURER of each Student Organization on campus MUST attend at least one session.

    • January 24 - 12:30pm in Hiner G20
    • January 24 - 7:00pm in Hiner G14/16
    • January 25 - 4:00pm in Hiner G20
    • February 1 - 6:30pm in Hiner G16/14
    • February 2 - 3:00pm in Hiner G20
    • February 2 - 6:30pm in Hiner G20
    • February 6 - 5:00pm in Hiner G20
    • February 7 - 3:00pm in Hiner G20
    • February 7 - 6:30pm in Hiner G14/16
    • February 15 - 12:00pm in Hiner G20
    • February 16 - 12:30pm in Hiner G20

    Advisors are invited to attend any of the meetings, but this is not requires.

    Spring Involvement/Volunteer Fair

    The Spring Involvement/Volunteer Fair will be February 8th from 4-6pm in the Student Union.  In order for clubs/organizations to get a table at the Involvement Fair - click here for the registration form.    The deadline for getting a table will be February 3rd.  Please remember there are limited number of tables.
