The Lankford Student Union strives to be the cornerstone of the campus community. The primary purpose of the Student Union and its staff is to enhance and compliment the academic experience by providing program support and services to the Longwood Community. The services provided by the Student Union are designed to assist with the development and implementation of programming efforts by students, faculty, and staff.

 

Specifically, the Student Union supports the Longwood University’s mission of developing citizen leaders by following these specific goals:

• Offering students, faculty, and staff the opportunity for increased interaction with the intention of instilling a sense of community and responsibility as members of the college community through shared experiences

• Providing events that create cultural, intellectual, and social interaction

• Provide “life experiences” through volunteerism and student employment which allow for hands on experience in citizenship and educates students in leadership and responsibility.
