Cormier Honors College Vegetable Garden

 

The President and Mrs. Obama instituted a White House garden in the spring of 2009 with the intention of drawing together different elements of our society and creating an educational opportunity, especially for school children.

The Cormier Honors College Vegetable Garden was modeled after the White House garden and aims to connect academic disciplines-Education, History and Political Science, Communications Studies, Biological and Environmental Science, and Economics-in the study of botany, agriculture, health, food production, biodiversity, sustainability and other contemporary issues.
