- Digitizing video requires a substantial amount of disk space and involves a balance between quality and size. Although full-motion, full screen video is more realistic and generally friendlier to the university community, it is not guaranteed to run smoothly when viewed on some machines. A simple formula for understanding the digitization process is: "x "(Frame size) multiplied by "y "(the number of frames per second) multiplied by "z" (seconds of video) = File size.
- Digitizing will not improve or enhance the quality of the original source.
- Digitizing, editing, and compressing video takes a good deal of time, as well as close work with the client. If digitizing for a multimedia presentation, please be sensitive to time constraints and flexible with scheduling.
We offer a range of post-production services, from editing original images and source video to creating a video tape, compact disc, or DVD of the finished product, complete with effects, transitions, titles, voice overs, background music, and credits.
