On behalf of the Virginias Collegiate Honors Council (VCHC) Executive Board, Student Representatives, and Committee members this correspondence serves as the Official Call for the VCHC 2008 Annual Spring Conference.  This year the conference will be held on the campus of Hampton University, Hampton, Virginia, Friday, April 11 – Saturday, April 12, 2008.  Our conference theme is “Spring for Knowledge, Blossom for Life.”

 

The conference registration fee for faculty and advisors is $110. The conference registration fee for students is $80. The fee includes museum reception, continental breakfast, lunch, and a VCHC portfolio. Please make check payable to VCHC: Hampton University Honors College and mail with registration forms to the following address no later than Friday, March 14, 2008

                                        “Spring for Knowledge, Blossom for Life”

                                                                              

                                                                                                                    January 25, 2008

 

The following topics are suggestions for you to consider for your presentation.  You must choose from one of the following presentation formats; (a) individual paper 15-20 minutes, (b) group presentation (2-3 members) 25-30 minutes,  (c) poster sessions 10-15 minutes, (d) arts/original works to include dance, literature, music (instrumental/vocal), poetry.  The arts/original works performance will take place on Friday evening. All proposals must be typed and submitted in the form of a 50-word abstract.    The deadline for proposals is March 14, 2008. All proposals should be submitted electronically to honors@hamptonu.edu.
