THE HOWARD DAVIS--VCHC HONORS SCHOLARSHIP

ELIGIBILITY:  Current juniors in VCHC member honors program are eligible to apply for this $1000 academic scholarship.  Seniors need not apply.

Candidates submitting applications must be current honors students and plan on remaining in honors during the following school year. 

Applications will be solicited by the ad hoc Scholarship Committee appointed annually by the President.

REQUIRED INFORMATION: 

1.      A letter from the student’s honors program director certifying that the student is an honors student.

2.      The student must submit a one-page resume stressing his/her academic and appropriate co-curricular (volunteering. Leadership) achievements.  College GPA and Honors GPA should be included.

3.      The student must submit a 250-word statement, approximately one page, double-spaced, discussing why his/her participation in Honors is important to his/her undergraduate education.

4.      Copy of official college transcript.  This must be included in the packet.  DO NOT SEND SEPARATELY.

5.      A completed scholarship application form.
