Lesson Plans The World Wide Web offers the K-12 teacher of health education many resources and tools to enhance the learning processes, such as curricular materials and lesson plans. This page features the URLs of selected sites that contain health-related lesson plans for K-12 instruction. Teachers should verify with their school division policies the content and appropriateness of lesson plans for their schools prior to any use in the curriculum.  The following list is in alphabetical order.  You may use the search tools below, individually or in combination, to build your health topical searches.
Curriculum Resources Information about the following curricula and curricula guides was obtained through Internet searches of resources on evidence-based curricula that promotes positive healthy behaviors and prevents or reduces sexual risk-taking.  The lists have been reviewed by the Virginia HIV/STDs Resources Review Panel (Review Panel).  Although the Review Panel examined this list, neither the Virginia Department of Education nor Longwood University endorses or promotes resources and materials identified here.  This resources list contains information about abstinence-only sexuality resources, Family Life Education, HIV prevention education resources, parent education and Family Life Education topics, and health education instructional resources.  These curricula and instructional resources may not be appropriate for all audiences.  If you are not seeking such information or may be offended by such materials, please exit this web page now.
