HANDLING OF COMPLAINTS REGARDING ABUSIVE TELEPHONE CALLS
I. PURPOSE
The purpose of this policy is to stop obscene, harassing, and other annoying telephone calls.
II. POLICY
Complaints regarding abusive telephone calls will be investigated by the Office of Public Safety.
III. PROCEDURE
All requests for the tracing of obscene, harassing, or annoying phone calls will be referred by the Office of Public Safety to the Longwood Telecommunication Services Department for technical assistance. The requester(s) will be required to complete a form authorizing the Office of Public Safety and the Telecommunication Services Department to investigate and trace the source of these calls. Public Safety will give the information to the Dean of Students for necessary action or other officers of the University when required.
