NOTICE OF O
WNERSHIP OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY RESOURCES AND SYSTEMS

I.     PURPOSE

The purpose of this policy is to establish notice regarding ownership of information technology resources and systems resident at Longwood University.  This policy relates to all computers, workstations, peripherals, networks, communication devices, switches, software programs and systems, as well as related devices, hardware, and software. 

II.     POLICY

Longwood University is the owner of all information technology resources and systems acquired by or for the institution through purchase, lease, license, loan, or other binding agreements whether the resources and systems are resident at Longwood University, its facilities, or at any off-site locations. This policy does not relate to individual personal property residing at locations controlled by Longwood University when that personal property is not related to a binding agreement between the University and the owner.
