ENFORCEMENT SANCTION PROCEDURES

Faculty and Staff Violations

1st Network Violation: 

·        The computer will be taken off of the network, a work order will be placed to have IITS staff clean the computer and the computer will be allowed back on the network.

2nd Network Violation:

·        The computer will be taken off of the network, reimaged/formatted by IITS. 

·        The computer will be denied access to the network for a mandatory 5 business days after the reimage/format. 

·        The staff member's supervisor or faculty member’s chair will be notified.

Student Violations

1st Network Violation:

• The student will be taken off of the network, the RTA will clean the computer as time permits and it will be allowed back on the network.

2nd Network Violation:

• The student will be taken off of the network, the computer will be reimaged/formatted at the Computer Repair Center and the student will be charged at a rate of $35 per hour.
• The student will be denied access to the network for a mandatory 5 business days after the reimage/format.

3rd Network Violation:

• The student will be taken off of the network, the computer will be reimaged/formatted at the Computer Repair Center and the student will be charged at a rate of $35 per hour.
• The student will be denied access to the network for a minimum of 5 business days after the reimage/format.
• The student will be referred to the Office of Honor and Judicial Programs for disciplinary action.
