TOURNAMENT CENTRAL

Another unforgettable postseason—the men fought hard in their second NCAA Tournament in three years.

It's been an incredible journey for the Lancers: a second NCAA Tournament appearance in three seasons, two Big South Championships in three years, a stunning new home facility in the Joan Perry Brock Center, and countless memorable highlights along the way. The ride has been thrilling, and the future looks bright!

A LOOK AT LONGWOOD & LANCER BASKETBALL

(in case you didn't already know)

  1. Three-Year Run
In the last three years, the Longwood men’s team has had more home wins than any three-year span in history, leading to back-to-back-to-back winning seasons. In its first year in the Joan Perry Brock Center, those wins were cheered by the second-highest average attendance of any team in the Big South Conference.

  2. A New Arena
The sparkling new Joan Perry Brock Center (nicknamed "JPB"), which opened in 2023, has become a beacon for Lancer fans, boasting a 40% increase in men's game attendance and more than doubling for women's, cementing it as the heart of our spirited community.

  3. A Unique Journey
Men's sixth-year Head Coach Griff Aldrich has led one of the biggest turnarounds in college basketball. He’s also got one of the most unusual personal stories you’ll hear in the game.

  1. 1,000-Point Club
The dual threat of guards Adriana Shipp-Davis and Anne-Hamilton LeRoy has made headlines for leading the women's shut-down defense that’s averaging a whopping 11.2 steals per game. But the dynamic duo just reached another milestone in February—both now have more than 1,000 career points, firmly etching their names into the Longwood record books.

  2. A Venerable Institution
Longwood may be a new star on the college basketball scene, but it’s one of America’s hundred-oldest colleges, with an idyllic campus and devoted alumni. Here’s everything you need to know about Longwood.

  3. The Heart of Virginia
Longwood’s home town, Farmville, may not be what you picture from the name. Instead, it’s a proud, charming and historic two-college town that has no doubt rallied to the Lancers this year.
