Tim Holmstrom is an Associate Professor of Physics at Longwood University. He began working at Longwood in 2008, and he has been Chair of the department of Chemistry and Physics since 2016.
He has a dual bachelor’s degree in Physics and Material Science and Engineeringfrom the University of Michigan, a masters in Material Science and Engineering from the University of Illinois, and a Ph.D. in Physics from the University of Virginia. His research is in the area of Nuclear Experimental Physics. Dr. Holmstrom is a member of the Hall A collaboration at the Thomas Jefferson Nuclear Accelerator Facility in Newport News, VA.
