JCPenney College Suit It Up is a collaborative event with Universities & Colleges to provide students with a special shopping event for career wear with *exclusive* discounts not available to the public.
You too can take advantage of the discounts if you volunteer your time to be a personal shopper/assistant with a student. After the shopping event, Longwood Black Alumni Association will sponsor a night of festivities in Richmond.
The program is designed for students who are 1st generation and limited-income to earn an opportunity to prepare for the career world and internship by earning a day of shopping at the retail giant, with unpublished discounts, and professional one-on-one help. Students will be assigned personal shoppers to gain professional advice on clothing, hair, accessorizing, makeup, and undergarments from the department heads. Leading up to the event, LBAA alum will provide career and professional readiness workshops to assist the students.
