A Greener Campus for Longwood University
Call to Action

More than 4,500 people study, teach and work on the Longwood University campus. This educational community is supported by dozens of buildings, roads, parking lots and other infrastructure. It is no wonder that we have a major impact on the natural environment. Some of our impacts are invisible, while others are very visible. For example, most of our electricity comes from burning coal (a fossil fuel). So when one of us wastes electricity by leaving on a light or computer, our air is polluted unnecessarily. Think Green – Act Green! Help Longwood take corrective steps to make environmental responsibility and stewardship a reality!

It is up to us to keep our campus, our workplace, our home and Earth green. We are all accountable for our one and only planet Earth. Please join us on our journey to making Longwood a green campus.
