Dr. Michael Kugler, Professor of History at Northwestern College, will discuss his book, "Into the Jungle: A Boy’s Comic Strip History of World War II." The book includes the original text as well as analysis of comics drawn by the author’s father during World War II. Dr. Kugler will make a case for the imaginative life of a nondescript American youth in wartime and discuss the challenges in making a historical interpretation of youth art.
