NSSE Survey
We've got everything you need to know about the 2023 National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE), including information on the PRIZES YOU CAN WIN!
-
WHAT IS THIS?
The National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE, pronounced "nessie") is the largest survey of undergraduates in North America and measures how students spend their time and their educational experience.
-
WHO IS THIS SURVEY FOR?
The survey is specifically for all first-year and senior students.
-
WHY SHOULD I TAKE THIS SURVEY?
The survey results will help us gauge the value of Longwood's experiences in and outside of the classroom so we can see how they compare to other institutions and make improvements. But perhaps more importantly, YOU CAN WIN PRIZES!*
Three (3) drawings for $75 Lancer Cash and three (3) drawings for $100 Amazon gift cards will occur between March 13 - 27. A final drawing will be made on April 3 for $200 Lancer Cash! As additional drawings, one first-year student will receive a parking pass for the 2023-2024 school year with a designated park spot on campus in the commuter lot of the students choosing, and one senior will receive a Barnes & Noble graduation diploma frame.
(*Your chances of winning depend on how many complete the survey; the last time we administered this survey, about 630 students responded.) -
WHEN DO I TAKE THE SURVEY?
The 2023 NSSE Survey will be shared via email with first-year and senior students beginning March 1, 2023. The earlier you complete the survey, the more chances you have to win prizes!
-
HOW DO I TAKE THE SURVEY?
A personalized link to the survey will come via email from President Reveley on March 1, and additional email reminders will come from Cameron Patterson, Vice President for Student Affairs. So make sure you check your email!
