Longwood University's Speech, Hearing, and Learning Services (SHLS) will be offering an intensive early literacy program this summer from July 10-August 2. This camp is for children ages 3 and a half to 6 years of age and will be held on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays from 9-11:45 each day. Alphabetic knowledge, phonological and phonemic awareness, concepts about print, developmental writing, and oral comprehension will be focused on through songs, crafts, and other small group activities.
Cost is as follows: $85 for the first week and $65 for each additional week. A $40 nonrefundable deposit and completed registration form is required by June 4th to reserve a space. This $40 deposit will be applied to the first week’s payment. Full payment is required by June 22nd. Refunds are not given after June 30th.
