What to Expect
Career fairs are hosted throughout the year and may include:
- University-Wide Career, Internship & Graduate School Fair – Connect with employers from all industries, plus graduate programs.
- Teacher Recruitment Day – Network with school divisions and participate in on-site interviews.
- Employer Meetups, Panels & Workshops – Smaller events throughout the semester that let you practice networking and get industry insights.
How to Prepare
- Update your resume (and bring printed copies).
- Dress professionally — visit the Career Closet for free attire if you need it.
- Practice your introduction and a few questions for employers.
- Research participating organizations ahead of time.
- Bring a notepad to jot down names, tips, and opportunities.
Spring Career, Internship, and Graduate School Fair

Students can join alumni, employers, and graduate school representatives at our Fall Career, Internship, and Graduate School Fair to learn more about how to get the career you want, what top industry players are looking for in new hires, and how you can get a step ahead of other applicants.
Professional headshots for student LinkedIn profiles will also be available. Come develop your professional network and enjoy learning more about companies that want to hire Lancers!

Public Safety and Law Enforcement Fair

Maugans Alumni Center, Blackwell Ballroom
Longwood students are invited to the 2026 Public Safety and Law Enforcement Fair. This fair will be held in partnership with the Criminology & Criminal Justice Department and will feature employers and educational organizations from public safety and service divisions, law enforcement groups, graduate school programs in criminology, law, and legal fields, as well as federal law enforcement agencies.

Join employers representing nursing, healthcare, social work, physical and rehabilitative therapy, and counseling organizations to learn about career opportunities, internships, externships, and work-based experiences. This fair is part of the CEHHS InterProfessional Event, but is open to all interested students.
