Biography:
Brandon Haffner earned his MFA from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro and his BA from Indiana University in Bloomington. His fiction appears or is forthcoming in the New Orleans Review, Sewanee Review, Harvard Review, Beloit Fiction Journal, upstreet, The Carolina Quarterly, and elsewhere. He is the recipient of a 2018 Fiction Fellowship from Summer Literary Seminars in Tblisi, Georgia.
Brandon worked a range of jobs before landing in academia: roofer, piano tutor, salad chef, call center manager, hotel houseman, dishwasher, law clerk, street-paper journalist, writing consultant, and copywriter.
His research interests include narratology, creative writing pedagogy, and social media. He currently chairs the Dos Passos Prize for Literature.
